AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- Dodge has announced it's entry into the world of Rally Car Racing with an entry into the 2012 Global RallyCross Championship Series.  The automaker has signed four-time Rally America Champion Travis Pastrana to drive a new 2013 Dodge Dart in the series.

The Global RallyCross series made it's debut in the United States in 2010 at X Games 16 in Los Angeles.  The production version of the Dodge Dart will be on sale later this year and is the first Chrysler Group car based on a Fiat platform.
