LANSING, MI (WHTC) - A retired state Community Health Department director is being called back to public service. Jim Haveman was named yesterday by the Governor to a two-year term on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan Board of Directors. Now heading a consulting firm based in his hometown of Grand Haven, Haveman will be among 35 members of the panel that governs the state’s insurer of last resort. The Senate has the final say on the matter.
