Anyone who watched the first two seasons of Game of Thrones can tell you that political office in Westeros is won by the sword... or the dragons, or the wildfire. The violence on the show can be brutal and unforgiving, but something tells me that Robb Stark and Daenerys Targaryen would rather bow to Joffrey than put up with our own nasty political process.

The folks at Mother Jones magazine started wondering what a Westeros political attack ad would look like, and the results are typically disgusting. Joffrey may have put George W. Bush's head on a pike, but he still doesn't deserve the Obama-esque ""Where's the Birth Certificate?"" treatment. And attacking Robb's family? Really, ""Westeros Net Daily?"" The battle at Blackwater is looking increasingly humane in comparison.
