DEARBORN (WKZO) -- Ford Motor Company has opened a research lab in the Silicon Valley. Ford's vice president of Research and Innovation Paul Mascarenas says that it's time for the automaker to prepare for the next 100 years.
Mascarenas says that the team at the lab will be focused on three main areas of interest. The first is user experience and the second is open innovation. According to Mascarenas, the future of technology in the car will be defined by the total experience that it delivers to the driver as well as the passengers. He says it needs to be a seamless experience that also brings a lot of value to the customer.
