LOWELL (WKZO) -- Nearly 50 cats are now being cared for by the Humane Society of West Michigan after a man found them in the bedroom of his adult daughter and outside their home. About 27 of the cats were inside the house, and the rest were outside the home near Lowell.
The Humane Society is in need of canned cat food and cash to care for the animals. A spokeswoman said the house where the animals were found was well-maintained without any overwhelming smell of the cats until the door to the bedroom was opened.
