In a hilarious Funny or Die video called Fifty Shades of Blue, the 19-year-old singer experiences her own version of Fifty Shades of Grey as she longingly lusts after a painter named Carl, who sadly doesn't seem to share her affection.

Whether she's admiring the inside of his sketchy van or nibbling on his paint samples, this is clearly an epic love story in the making.

But Gomez isn't the only celebrity taking an interest in E. L. James' controversial book. During an after hours special for MTV, the stars of Snow White and the Huntsman got in touch with their erotic sides by reading sections of the story out loud for all to hear.
