KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The weekend began with wet and cold weather keeping the crowds down but everything turned out well with clear skies and comfortable conditions for Saturday the big day of the June Jubilee event. Their were lines for food at Greekfest and good crowds for the Art in the park and Art on the mall.
For the 12-hundred runners who took on the brand new obstacle course designed for Kalamazoo’s Inaugural Mud Run, the chilly early morning temperatures were just another obstacle to over come. The organizers hoped to raise enough to install an automated water well in a Ugandan town and they say they exceeded their goal.
