BOSTON, MA (1660 THE FAN) - This has not been a happy road trip for Detroit. After dropping 2 series in a row, the Tigers came into Fenway Park Monday night looking for a new start. Fat chance. After moving out to a quick 1-0 with an Austin Jackson lead-off home run, the Tigers saw the Red Sox score 2 runs in its half of the 1st, and Boston went on to take game 1 of the series, 7-3. Dustin Pedroia went 1-4, but drove in 3 of Boston's runs. Max Scherzer had won 4 straight games, but gave up 5 runs in the loss. Detroit will try and rebound behind Justin Verlander in game 2 Tuesday night...broadcast time on AM 590 WKZO is 6:45 pm.
