MANLIUS TOWNSHIP (WKZO) --  An Ottawa County man who reportedly frequently walked from Ottawa to Allegan County, got caught taking a shortcut over a train trestle in the New Richmond area over the Kalamazoo River and was reportedly struck by a CSX freight train just after 6AM Saturday.

Allegan County Sheriff’s Deputies are trying to identify the man, who was hit and thrown into the River below.  There are reports that there was no identification on the body. Divers quickly pulled him out of the water but he was already dead.It happened about 6AM Saturday.
