COMSTOCK  (WKZO) --  One man is recovering from injuries and a second is sitting in jail after a hit and run accident in the 63-hundred block of M-96 in Comstock, near the spot where King Highway merges with E. Michigan Avenue.

Kalamazoo County deputies report that a 26-year-old was slowly riding a motorized scooter eastbound along M-96 when he was struck. A witness, who was walking along side the victim was able to immediately call for help.

Deputies were able to get a description of the car that struck him and quickly locate and arrest the 21-year-old driver who they believe was responsible.

The condition of the victim was not released.
