ALBION (WKZO) -- A man suspected of kidnapping his own 6 week old infant girl from the Albion home of his estranged wife is now in custody in Gibson Illinois, after he took the baby to a hospital, concerned because she wasn’t eating.

The mother of the child says that Luqman Bari did not know how to care for the infant, Nahla Johnson, and that’s why she immediately called police when the two disappeared Friday morning.

Now he is being held in Illinois, possibly facing federal charges for crossing two stateliness with the infant, and the little girl has been returned home to her mother.
