CLEVELAND. OH (1660 THE FAN) - Detroit was looking to win its first series from Cleveland this season, so who better to send to the mound than Tigers ace Justin Verlander?  Unfortunately, the Indians decided not to cooperate, as they defeated Detroit and Verlander 5-3.  A four-run 7th inning propelled Cleveland to the win.  The loss also dropped the Tigers a half game behind idle Chicago in the AL Central.  Next up for Detroit- the Toronto Blue Jays, with game one of the weekend series set for Friday.  Broadcast time on AM 590 WKZO is 6:40 pm.
