CLEVELAND, OH (1660 THE FAN) - Cleveland is not a favorite stop for the Detroit Tigers. Through Tuesday, the Tigers had not tasted victory at Jacobs Field this season. Max Scherzer took care of that problem Wednesday. Scherzer limited the Indians to a two-run home run in 7 innings, allowing only those two runs, three hits, and striking out 7, as he led Detroit to a 5-3 win. Quintin Berry went 3-4 with 2 RBIs, and Alex Avila was 2-3, as Detroit pulled even with Chicago at the top of the AL Central. The Tigers go for the series win Thursday evening, 6:40 air time on AM 590 WKZO.
