DETROIT (WKZO) -- The Detroit Tigers have a 1-1/2 game lead in the AL Central standings after a weekend sweep of the White Sox. Miguel Cabrera blasted two solo homers to help the Tigers beat the White Sox, 6-4 on Sunday.
They were the 299th and 300th home runs of his career. Quintin Berry and Brennan Boesch also hit homers to give Detroit its fifth straight win. Jacob Turner tossed five-and-a-third innings of three run ball for his first career win.
Joaquin Benoit recorded his second save. Alex Rios and Kevin Youkilis homered for Chicago, which has lost five in-a-row.
