ALLEGAN  (WKZO) --  A boat collision on Lake Allegan Sunday afternoon injured 8 people but only 2 required hospitalization, and one of them, a woman, suffered a fatal head injury. . The collision happened just before 3PM near the Allegan Dam.

A speed boat with 6 on board collided with a Pontoon boat with just two on board. The man and woman on the Pontoon boat suffered the most serious injuries were taken to Allegan General.

 No names were released, but reportedly they were all from out of state. Alcohol doesn’t appear to have been a factor.

The other 6, from the speed boat were treated at the scene for scrapes and bruises.    Allegan County Deputies say its under investigation and charges may be brought.
