LANSING (WKZO) -- A special election will be held to find someone to finish out the rest of former Congressman Thaddeus McCotter's term, which expires in January. The 11th District Republican resigned on Friday after a disastrous re-election attempt that has resulted in an investigation of his campaign for submitting hundreds of fraudulent petition signatures. There will need to be both a primary and general election, and elections officials in the Secretary of State's office are reviewing what their next steps will be.
