GRAND JUNCTION (WKZO) -- The prosecutor in Van Buren County is now charging the mother of an adult autistic man with his death just over a year ago in their home on County Road 384 near Grand Junction.
25-year-old Chad Jackson was found dead in his bedroom on July 2nd of last year. The prosecutor originally intended on charging 42-year-old Yodi Jackson with felony murder and felonious abuse, but both charges were knocked down to 2nd degree at the arraignment.
The autopsy apparently found the man died from malnutrition and dehydration, and they are apparently blaming Jackson. She is free on bond pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for next week.
