Actress Laura Dern and rocker Ben Harper have reportedly split again.

The Jurassic Park star, 45, reconciled with Harper earlier this year (12), after filing for divorce in 2010, but it appears the reunion wasn't destined to be permanent and sources tell Life & Style the pair has separated.

One friend tells the publication, ""They've called it quits for the second time. They came to this conclusion last month. It was handled with the utmost respect and love; there were no crazy fights.

""When they got back together earlier this year, they were happy. There's a lot of love there, and they both really wanted it to work.""

Calls to Dern's publicists have not been returned.

The couple wed in 2005 after dating for five years. They share two kids - Ellery, 10, and daughter Jaya, seven.
