BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- Police have released the name of a Battle Creek teen run down by a car.
Witnesses in Battle Creek say a 19-year-old who was anxious to get across the street to the Urbandale Plaza just wasn’t watching where she was going when she stepped out into the path of a car on Michigan Avenue Thursday afternoon. They say the driver had absolutely no chance of avoiding the collision.
Police say the driver will not be charged. The victim has been tentatively identified as Corinne Mansfield of Battle Creek.
