KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo City Commissioners introduced a package of water and sewer hikes Monday night and not everyone is happy about it.
Resident Andrew Worden urged the city to reconsider, given the fact that city residents really don’t have alternatives choices. He feels they should be trying to hold the line or even reduce the rates.
Commissioners may not have a lot of wiggle room in the matter.
By agreement with the townships, the city is required to hire an independent firm to set rates based on actual costs.
A final vote comes in 2 weeks.
