MICHIGAN (WKZO) -- A belt of cold air will be blasting through the Great Lakes over the weekend setting off lake-effect snow for West Michigan. Freezing winds are expected to blow across the far north Plains into the Upper Midwest reaching Michigan shores by Friday night.
Lingering into next week, temperatures in Michigan’s Upper Penninsula are expected to see highs in the low 20’s with gusting 35 mph winds.
AccuWeather.com is urging motorists to beware of sudden burts of snow that will suddenly reduce visibility causing icy roads as well.
