PORTAGE (WKZO) -- Portage Police have released a surveillance photo of a man who pulled off a smash and grab burglary at the Speedway gas station at Portage and Milham just after 2am Wednesday.
He took a large rock and threw it through the plate glass windows, reaching in and grabbing all the cartons of cigarettes he could carry. He then fled the scene before police could respond to the burglar alarm.
The surveillance video shows it was a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, white athletic shoes, and a bright orange stocking cap. The suspect was driving a blue colored sedan with a sunroof.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Portage Department of Public Safety.
