GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Gas prices have been on the rise over the last few weeks, but Gasbuddy.com is still out with a month-by-month prediction of where oil prices are headed this spring.
Patrick DeHaan believes $5 per gallon gas may be in our future, but not this year. He said per-gallon prices should average $3.46 in February, $3.64 in March, $3.83 in April approaching the $4 mark by Memorial Day in late May.
From there DeHaan expects prices should slowly decline on average through the summer months.
But, those predictions will change if there are any major terrorist incidents, any attempts by Iran to close the straights of Hormuz or any one of dozens of unforeseen events that could impact global oil prices.
