KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- William Wright, 28, has been ordered held on a $1 million bond after he has been charged with 9 felonies for allegedly attempting to shoot and kill a Kalamazoo County deputy Friday night.
As a repeat offender he could get life.
Prosecutor Jeff Fink said the warrant also charges him with gun felonies, fleeing and eluding, car theft and arson, for allegedly setting fire to the garage where he hid from police in Portage, just before busting through the garage door in a stolen Ford, starting another high speed chase.
His brother, Christopher Wright was arraigned Monday for resisting an officer. His girlfriend, Jessica Carpenter, is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
