KALAMAZOO (WKZO)  --  Accident investigators say a passenger side curtain style air bag may have saved 26-year-old Eric Wines of Plainwell from serious injuries. He was riding in the front seat of a vehicle that slid sideways, passenger side door first, into a tree along D Ave. in Kalamazoo County’s Ross Township.  alamazoo Sheriff’s deputies say the vehicle went out of control when it slid on an icy patch about 3:15 Sunday morning.The driver, 26-year-old Robert Kilmartin of Richland was admitted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in stable condition. Wines was treated for minor injuries and released.
