FARGO, ND (WKZO) – Matt Stainbrook recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, but it would not be enough to overcome a strong second half from the North Dakota State Bison, falling 86-73.

In their third straight game on the road, Western owned an 8 point halftime lead. North Dakota State charged back in the second half behind 5 shooters reaching double figures. Marsha Bjorklund scorched the Broncos for 21 points in 29 minutes to lead the Bison comeback.

Mike Douglas recorded 21 points in 39 minutes for the Broncos. Douglas and Stainbrook were the only Bronco shooters to reach double figures.

Western Michigan returns to University Arena and MAC West play on Wednesday, hosting Ball State at 7 pm.
