GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO) -- Republican nominee hopeful Mitt Romney spoke Wednesday at Compatico Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI to hundreds of eager supporters.
Romney calls Michigan his "home state" and in fact some old high school friends of Mitt's were in the crowd showing their support for their fellow classmate.
With the Michigan GOP primary less than 2 weeks away, Romney wasted no time stressing to the audience his vision for Michigan's future, "There are two ways this can go, you have the choice between freedom or giving up your rights to the people who say they have your best interest at heart. I don't know about you, but I chose freedom."
The former governor explained his opposition to the automotive bailouts in Michigan, which is a topic proving to be controversial to voters throughout the state.
