LANSING, MI (WHTC) - Chairman Bob Genetski of Saugatuck is calling for a meeting of the state House Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education in Lansing this morning, asking Michigan State University officials to explain why the Spartans will be asking new students to have health insurance or be compelled to enroll in the school’s program. While MSU is the only state college to require this, other institutions are also considering it.
