STURGIS (WKZO) -- The first carjacking ever reported in Sturgis, MI happened about a month ago. Police are now saying the suspect was sex offender Tyronza Miller from Arkansas who was visiting town to see someone he had met over the internet.
When she kicked him out, he wound up waiting at the McDonald's for a ride until employees called the police. The officer then gave Miller a lift to a nearby Wal-Mart to wait for another ride.
Miller then allegedly approached a 59-year-old woman in her car, threw her to the pavement and escaped with her van.
Local law enforcement is now trying to extradite Miller from Arkansas, where he is being held for violating parole.
