KALAMAZOO -- A Kalamazoo man, who was already wanted for a list of crimes is wanted for several more now that he has evaded police during a wild reckless high speed chase through Kalamazoo Wednesday afternoon.
Eugene Marr was spotted just after 4PM riding in a car near Mabel and Westnedge in Kalamazoo. When the driver was pulled over, Officers say Marr pushed him out, commandeered the vehicle, dragging his friend and striking a public safety officer as he pulled away. Both suffered minor injuries. They then chased him through town and into the country. Officers had to eventually break off the chase for safety’s sake. They say Marr abandoned the vehicle and was picked up by friends who are hiding him somewhere.
Here is a partial list of the crimes that Marr is wanted for: Car Jacking, Assault on Police Officer causing injury, Fleeing and Eluding and numerous Outstanding Warrants.
