KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Former Congressman Pete Hoekstra spoke as the keynote presenter Thursday at the Kalamazoo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly luncheon.
Currently, Hoekstra is campaigning for the U.S. Senate running against current U.S. Senator Democrat Debbie Stabenow. The former congressman is “feeling good” about the race ahead, explaining how it should be easy to unseat someone (Stabenow) who doesn’t have “the people’s best interest in mind.”
Hoekstra is formerly The U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 2nd Congressional District and served as such from 1993 to 2011.
Watch above for a personal interview with Pete Hoekstra explaining the fundamental challenges facing the state of Michigan as well as his current campaigning policies.
Thursday’s event was held at the Holiday Inn-West in Kalamazoo on 11th Street. For future Chamber events check their website at www.kazoochamber.com/events.
