LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Snyder has signed the Organized Retail Crime Act, making it a felony in Michigan to steal merchandise with the intent of reselling or distributing it to another retailer for anything of value.  The governor called organized retail crime a "sophisticated operation" that "can act as a gateway to finance even more serious crimes."  The bills were sponsored by state Representative Joe Graves.
