KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Earlier this week, state health officials announced that the deaths of two Michigan children may have been caused by influenza.
Kalamazoo County health officials say that is their preliminary conclusion, but they are awaiting confirmation from final test results to be returned in the death of a five-month-old infant. The other child was an adolescent from central Michigan.
Health officials say the flu season has started early in Michigan this year and would like to remind everyone it's not too late to get a vaccination against influenza.
