KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- It was a white knuckle ride home Wednesday evening but it should be better today. Kalamazoo County got as many as 3 inches which was more than enough to turn area roads into ice-skating rinks, and hills into ski ramps.
There were a number of minor slideoffs, and a fair share of fender benders but no serious injuries reported.
everal hilly streets had to be closed in the Kalamazoo area because too many cars were crashing trying to reach the top.
Kalamazoo County has had 22-plow trucks out overnight, the dozens deployed by the Cities of Kalamazoo and Portage, and MDOT has had 81-trucks in the 9-county Southwest Michigan region, making sure that your commute into work today is easier than your ride home yesterday.
