HOLLAND (WKZO) -- The city of Holland could invest up to 70,000-dollars to reinforce the bridge at Windmill Island Gardens.  The Holland City Council has approved the hiring of an engineering firm to put together the proposed design for the bridge project.

The money would be spent so that heavy duty cranes would be able to safely cross onto the island to facilitate repairs on the historic DeZwann windmill.  Repairs on the windmill likely won't take place until at least next fall.
