OSHTEMO (WKZO) -- Two young men woke up Christmas morning in the Kalamazoo County Jail after they tried to outrun state police, and could be formally charged today with a list of crimes.
The Trooper noticed their car didn’t have a visible registration plate, and gave chase until the suspect crashed into a Metro Transit Bus at Drake and W. Main. The two suspects fled on foot but were tracked down by Public Safety officers with K-9’s.
Both had a pair of outstanding warrants. The 18-year-old driver from Kalamazoo will also be charged with fleeing and eluding and driving on a suspended license.
The Passenger, a 21-year-old from Bangor is a parole absconder who will be charged with resisting and possession of Heroin.No one on the bus was injured.
