Power restored in West Michigan in time for Christmas

JACKSON (WKZO) -- Consumers Energy says its electric customers all have their power back after last week's winter storm that blew down power lines all over west Michigan.

The utility says around 170-thousand of its customers were in the dark at some point after the storm blew through. In the far southwest corner of the state, Indiana Michigan Power says the lights in Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties are also back on.

The Great Lakes Cooperative also took a few days to make all the repairs they needed to make but the lights are back on, including the Christmas lights.
