KALAMAZOO, MI, PITTSBURGH, PA (1660 THE FAN) - Both of Western's basketball teams were in action Wednesday night, the women hosting Valparaiso at University Arena, and the men in Pittsburgh to take on Duquesne.  It was a back-and-forth match-up for the women, who led Valpo at the half by 2, and then made sure they were ahead when it counted, edging the Crusaders 70-69.  The Bronco men did not fare as well, although they put up a tough effort against the Dukes, the Broncos dropped a 71-66 verdict.  The men's squad has a short turnaround, as they will host Mount St. Mary on Saturday.  Broadcast time is 1:30 on 96.5 WKZO,  The women are off until the 28th, when they travel to the Windy City to take on Illinois-Chicago.  You can hear all the action on 1660 the Fan beginning at 7:30 pm.
