DETROIT (WKZO) -- Wayne State University's faculty union has voted to authorize a strike.  According to union officials, if issues aren't resolved by the time the next semester begins in January, faculty members are ready to strike.

The union has been working without a contract since July 31st and the two sides are reportedly still far apart on several issues, including post-tenure review, compensation, health care and the length of the next contract.
