KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The federal government has released its list of the most dangerous roads based on the number of accidents recorded at various location in the past year, and there are only a few in southwest Michigan.
The list includes the I-94 exit ramp at Coloma. It also includes a stretch of M-43 near the Meijer in Oshtemo, where the eastern-most exit to the store's parking lot has seen a number of crashes. The township is working with Meijer to make it safer.
The list also includes the westbound ramp of I-94 to 11 Mile Road in Marshall. The report suggests all it needs is reflective chevrons on short poles to help prevent crashes, with total price tag about one-thousand dollars to define the curve for drivers and make it safer.
