DETROIT (WKZO) -- A pretrial hearing for accused killer Joseph Gentz is scheduled to take place later this week.

The 48-year-old is charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy in the January death of Jane Bashara.  Bashara was found strangled in her SUV in an alley on Detroit's east side.  Susan Reed, Gentz's attorney, says that her client has not agreed to a plea deal and is still reviewing all of his options.

Bashara's husband, Bob, was sentenced to up to 20-years behind bars last week for trying to put a hit out on Gentz.  Gentz is due in court again on Friday.
