CEDAR LAKE, INDIANA (WKZO) -- Police in a Northern Indiana town have arrested a man who threatened to set his wife on fire and then enter Jane Morton Ball Elementary, where she works in the Lunchroom and kill as many people as he could.
60-year-old Von Meyer of Cedar Lake may have been inspired by the mass killing in Newton Connecticut, but the Police Chief Jerry Smith doesn’t think he was serious. It was said in the heat of an argument with his wife. They beefed up security at the school Friday just in case.
Police found 47-guns in his home and Ammo worth an estimated 100-thousand dollars, but the Chief say most of them are antiques.
He is being held without bond on a felony intimidation charge.
