PORTAGE (WKZO) -- The Portage Board of Education will hold their first meeting since the Suspension of Superintendent Ric Perry this evening.
The subject of his suspension is not on the agenda, but it could come up anyway if the public has any questions. Perry was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a school employee, declared him in breach of his contract and initiated separation negotiations.
They have since fallen through, prompting the board to suspend Perry, who will have a hearing in front of the board to make his case. They have already announced plans for a national search to find a permanent replacement.
Interim Supt. Rob Olson will represent the Administration at this evening’s board meeting.
