ROCKFORD (WKZO) -- A Rockford teenager is trying to brighten up Christmas for some young hospital patients.  17-year-old Mariah Bouwkamp is making holiday cards to give to children at the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.

Bouwkamp says she got the idea from a neighbor of her grandmother who had a child in a hospital and loved getting cards.  Any unused cards will be given to veterans and the elderly.
