LANSING (WKZO) -- They say they are prepared in Lansing to handle 10,000 protestors today in Lansing, or about 4 times the number who appeared on Thursday.
State Police Inspector Dean Adamczyk says they shut down the Capitol on Thursday when things got out of hand and they could again.
He says they have brought in 150 extra Troopers from around the state to beef up security and closed the streets around the Capitol to make room.
Protestors had better dress warmly because not everyone will be getting inside. The fire marshal has reportedly set the capacity at 2,000.
Governor Snyder agreed to Meet with Democratic leaders to discuss the measure. He met with Senator Carl Levin and Cong. John Dingell who both said the Governor was cordial and said he would consider their opinions.
But Snyder says he still plans to sign it, if the legislature approves it.
Exactly when he plans to sign it, isn’t exactly clear, but he has said it would be before the legislative session ends.
