STURGIS (WKZO) -- Law enforcement in a small town can be different because everyone knows everyone else and it’s tougher to remain anonymous. A Sturgis Police officer noticed a woman driving erratically on Lakeview and recognized her as a woman he pulled over 6 months before for Drunk Driving.

Holly Anne McBride was still driving on a restricted license and had twice the legal alcohol level. The officer noticed that this time her toddler wasn’t in the backseat.

Further investigation revealed she had left the child home alone. Now she is also charged with Child Neglect in addition to drunk driving second offense.

The two year old is being cared for by a relative.
