KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Deputies are seeking two suspects in an armed robbery that took place in the 5000-block of West KL Avenue Thursday around 11:30 p.m. Two suspects reportedly held up a 7-11.
It's believed the two young black males may be the same two responsible for a pair of armed hold-ups on the Western Michigan University campus just prior to the store robbery. The first one occured near Bigelow Hall. The second stickup occured near Parking Services on the west side of the WMU campus. The muggings triggered a warning on WMU's reverse-911 warning system, advising students to stay indoors late Thursday night.
The first suspect is described as a black male around six-feet in height of medium build last seen wearing a ski mask with a blue hoodie, red shirt, and dark pants, armed with a handgun. The second suspect is described as a black male around five feet, eight inches in height with a medium build who was also wearing a mask, with a black hoodie and gray sweatpants.
The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The two remain at large.
