WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- Republican Representative Justin Amash is calling his removal from the House Budget Committee "a slap in the face." The Tea Party favorite made his remarks Tuesday while addressing reporters at the conservative Heritage Foundation in Washington.
Speaker of the House John Boehner is attempting to create a united front while he negotiates with President Obama on a deal to avoid the so-called "fiscal cliff." Several other members of the Budget Committee and the Financial Services Committee also lost their seats.
Amash represents Michigan's 3rd District, which includes Grand Rapids.
