KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Lori Moore's Potluck Pals raised money for the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan Scholarship Program Wednesday at Harding's Friendly Market on East Cork Street.

CEO Jan Barker says they raised money to enroll more Girl Scouts in need of financial assistance.  In total, 1,545-dollars were raised for the organization, enough for 77 new scouts.

Thursday's event will raise money for the Kalamazoo Deacon's Conference at the First National Bank of Michigan on West Centre Avenue in Portage from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
