KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The prosecution of a Kalamazoo Township man suspected in the death of his infant son has been delayed until he can be mentally evaluated.
Tahj Lockett is currently charged with first degree child abuse, in the death of his 4-month old son, Tahj Lockett Jr. He confessed to police that he was smoking marijuana to self-medicate for mental disorders at the time of the infant’s death.
Now they want to see if he is mentally capable of aiding in his own defense before proceeding with his case in court.
The boy’s body had numerous bruises, both old and new and a number of bite marks that Lockett also confessed to causing.
